Bliss genealogy and ancestry. There was a Bliss family in Painswick, operating Salman's mill, from the 1430's. Nathaniel Bliss, the son of a Sir Arthur Bliss, composer and conductor, was Master of the Queen's Musick from 1953 to 1975.
